Document Editor Work Online For Free

To work together in Word for the web, you edit a document as you normally would. If others are also editing it, Word for the web alerts you to their presence, and shows you the paragraph they're working on. There's no special co-authoring mode and no command to begin co-authoring.

Click on the document to open it. Word for the web will automatically open to Editing view. If you want to make changes beyond what you can do in the browser, click Open in Word. In Word, when you save the document, it is saved back on OneDrive.

Select the file that you want to share. Click Share or Share . Under 'General access' click the Down arrow . Choose Anyone with the link. To decide what role people will have, select Viewer, Commenter or Editor. Click Copy link. Click Done. Paste the link in an email or any place where you want to share it.

Share your document using OneDrive Click on the "File" tab, followed by the "Share" button. Enter the emails of the people you want to share your document with or select their email addresses from a drop-down list of saved contacts. Click on the "Edit" option to give editing permission to the people who click the link.

Enable editing in your document Go to File > Info. Select Protect document. Select Enable Editing.
